Luft Tabs at the SOS

Thank you Jason, Gary and Mike! You guys are great and I appreciate the wealth of information!! I had no idea there is such a wide variety of LW tabs as I am far more knowledgeable regarding LW aircraft than insignia. Hopefully, this situation will change with time. All of the images of the LW tabs you have shared are wonderful and have sparked my interest in this area. I had never seen the orange tabs for recalled officers and only recently became aware of the Nautiker tabs. I have much to learn!

Specifc things about the double chevron tabs have always been a big red flag.

1) Yet to see a period pic of any rank. One was discussed a few years ago but never produced.

2) Always seem to be rare or high ranking tabs. Granted I'm not always on here as often as many are.

3) I don't recall seeing any with honest wear.
