    LKpW 101 Flight Helmets

    Hi,

    I am in the process of acquiring one LKp S 101 and two LKp W 101 flying helmets. I have two snaps to fasten the throat mic on the LKp S 101 and one for the two LKpW 101 There is no space on both straps of LKp W 101 for a second female snap section but you can see that one male snap section was removed on both. Is this normal and common for German LKp 101 flight helmets or should they all be like the LKp S 101 I have?

    Look fine, and think it is normal with single snap button

      Notice the holes were a second snap male part was, is this the norm?

        No worries, they were converted during war like this, I've a Netzkopfhaube with one snap and traces of maybe another .., funny thing is that the chamois leather on the inside of the strap doesn't show a hole .., might've been replaced also ?

        The single ( new ) snaps seem to be more tight, they've a spring inside, that might be the reason of replacement.

        Some proof for you ..
