I didn't like this one either. I'm getting that nebulous churning in the gut. I didn't like the eagle at first glance, and it's been resewn anyway. The lanyard has been added and it shouldn't be there. Not too fond of the collar underside either. I'm wondering if the jacket is post-war, or if this is just a put-together of good and bad parts.

First, to be fair, I'm not a tunic expert. But, without reading the other's comments It looks put together at the very least. Hopefully the tunic and eagle experts will weigh in. The eagle looks odd and too fresh, whether or not it's real the attachment is definately amateur.
The marksmanship lanyard clearly is a red flag but is it possible he earned it as an enlisted man??????? I don't know. Even if he did I can't answer if qualifications were required on a regular basis to maintain the rating. There will be people here that CAN answers these questions.

Perhaps better photos in different lighting conditions would help.
The lanyard is an EM award not worn by officers (at least that I have ever seen), but perhaps it's there because someone saw a button under the strap (intended for the aigulette) and just put it on for show. The eagle is godawful and sewn too high, but I've seen worse (not many, though).
Still, maybe other photos could salvage this..........

The under collar shot does it for me. Never seen anything like that on a pre-1945 tunic.
It's a Bundesluftwaffe tunic as far as I can tell. The provision for the dagger looks to be an 'add-on'. Marry that to the fabric and cut of the pocket flaps (and the colour of the lining) and it's an early BLW.
I won't comment on the insignia, save to say that all are hand sewn. Not a good sign.

Why do you think that is fake?
