    M44 late pattern Flak boards

Picked these up recently opinions welcome. The backing material is slightly different braid of some kind, one is grey, the other light-green. I've seen this exact braid on other M44 (Luftwaffe) boards. Anyone hazard a guess as to what it is - military?

    Regards, Paul

      Side

Side = showing the colour better. Actually quite a dark blue-grey in daylight, with vibrant red piping.

Nice boards. I have seen that type of reinforcing material in also some KM boards too.

Interesting reinforcing tape used on the backsides, has anyone seen this tape used in other garment production other then shoulder boards? Really neat examples.

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

                Thanks

Many thanks for the comments, and the link to the M44 strap thread Lenny - those are the pics I was thinking of. (I've added them to that thread.)
