Thanks for posting the plate. It looks lovely, with a great eagle. I don't know anything about plates as I do not collect them specifically, but it certainly looks fine to me.

That said, what makes it an officer plate? It appears to be simply a Luftwaffe marked dinner or serving plate, depending on the size.

some times plates were made for one branch and later re issued to another and hence the l.w stamp in a funny place.
i have a plate that was like this, issued to one and reissued to the l.w.

ill put up a pic later (as im at work at the moment) of one i have issued to one branch but then issued to the l.w, i still has both stamps on it.
