LW medic branch - Killing spree..

    Hello guys,

I have found a lot of LW insignia for the medical branch - my area as always.

I have both good and bad feelings about some of these, and I would like to ask your opinion

Set no. 1; shoulderboards, collartabs, aesculap patch, I have good feeling s of this, I think it looks and feels like the real thing, branch piping in wool, clearly matching set.

What is your opinion on this..?..

    Regards,

    Hans Kristian

          ..set no. 2..

This set has obvious problems in so far that the shoulderboards are quite different, one is with wool piping and the other with rayon piping.
Besides, the eagles on the collar tabs are different as well - this could ofcourse be because of succescive promotions..but..

There waas also an de-nazified metal breast eagle included.

The set feels not too bad, ofcourse different boards, but are they OK for the period..?..
And the "birds" on the tabs..?..and the eagle..?.

                    Set no. 3

Here is what I consider a very beautiful set..

BUT I have some consideratons, I remember that I once came across a thread here where some discussions were taking place regarding some LW tabs with a "double chevron" - exactly as these tabs have.

They are in almost mint condition, I am sure they were never worn - and this do make me slightly suspicious.

I would very much like to get some review on these..are they fake..?..or reproduction..?..

                    cheers

                            Hi,

I was the author of the double chevron theread.

These are double chevron threads but, as I indicated in the thread, I am still on the fence on these. As an aside I do not buy any more of them for my collection.

                              Hi Gary,

Yes, I remember, and I did read this thread and had probably the same worry as you.
I am ofcourse seriously worried about the Major-set. I recon they look just like the ones you had..?..

                              Cheers,

                              Hans Kristian
