    Hello expert....every opinions and thoughts about this (machine-sewn) brest eagle will be very glad...

      I'm not sure why the stitching in the underlying lining would have needed to be restitched at some point (as it appears to be). I believe the eagle was reattached as well. It is one of the sloppier sewing jobs I have seen on these.

          It is not the best sewing work, especially on the front. However, it could be an original war-time sewn eagle but, from these photos, I would say it is Post-War if I was a betting man. It is very difficult to say without the tunic in hand. I have really sat on the fence here but I think this may be the reason you have not had many replies to your quesiton. It is a difficult one.

            Agree,who ever sewed it probably thought the eagle should not be sewn through this portion of the liner and unstitched it,but then had second thoughts and sewed it back up,maybe after looking at original sewn factory applied eagles that are sewn through this part of the lining.. (also appears to be the same thread used to sew the lining back up,as used to sew the eagle)
