N&G goggles....

Hello All,
I have had these for a while and keep looking at them suspiciously...
I thought it was a good time to post them with all the recent discussion about N&G goggles.
Are they okay or fake? How about the tin?
I think they do look better in real life than these photos...
Any comments would be appreciated!

The can is for the clear lense goggles ("A"), dark lenses would have a "D".
Nice goggles though.

You're right.., but that wouldn't bother me to much ..
Things got mixed up, I guess, like unmatching bajonet numbers etc..

Another scenario, maybe it started with clear lenses and owner changed them ..

We still don't know what the letters A and D mean , do we ?

Thanks for the replies! I can display these now without having doubts about authenticity.
I have wondered about the marking on the tin too. Seems very feasible that the owner would replace the lenses as required. It amazes me that they went to this trouble manufacturing the two tins.
Is it certain that these were issue, or would aircrew have bought these like they did leather jackets? The quality and expensive seems a step up from the other goggles.

During war these goggles were quite common, they were also issued to army and navy in small amounts or maybe by choice..
I've a pair which belonged to a U-boot member.
I've seen pics of army men wearing a pair of these.
Sometimes they were used in open cars and by motor drivers..

I'm still having a bit of problems with the fact that the A and D are representing the color of the lenses, because it was quite easy to change those.
For us, it's a almost certain fact, but is it ?

I've seen Rudel wearing 2nd model, 3rd, 3rd totally foldable, 3rd clear lenses.. how many had he or did he change his lenses at least on one pair ?

Less can be found about N&G goggles, the war time of this still existing maker is a grey area ofcourse..
