G.H.O. cap eagle , copper base metal ??

Going through some of my miscellaneous pick ups from this summer.
Got a question on this maker mark G.H.O. cap eagle , it appears that the base metal is copper or a copper wash. Remaining pin is not magnetic .


I have done electroplating of copper buss bar with silver for electrical application , the silver looks vaguely like that type of application.
Anyone familiar with this type of eagle good or bad?

It looks like a original KupAl eagle, copper-aluminum, the Germans used that technique on many other insignia.
