    Luft. Tropical tunic OK?

Will like to hear the forum members input on the originality of this Luftwaffe tropical tunic. It has what appear to be a reaplied eagle in the "prototypical" manner...but you can see traces where the original was stiched..I think!!!

The tunic is made in a canvas type material and show wear. I think is OK but these days you never know!!!

Thanks in advance and all comments will be appreciated.

                Hi Federico,

You are correct, the breast eagle is certainly resewn. The tunic looks ok, and is of an unusual twill weave which is encountered less than the common ribbed twill. The shirt shoulder straps are also ok.

                Regards,
                John

good example and as many of these do, it has lost it's original eagle.

Nice tunic as I also have an example with original eagle for comparison in this desireable (subtle weave gabardine) fabric often found on Heer tropical clothing and headgear.

Beyond the reapplied eagle - the tunic is a great worn piece - with what apears to be original LW tropical buttons.

                              Cheers,

                              Asper
