    Voluntary Honorary Luftwaffe Service

    In German: " Freiwilligen Ehrendienst bei der Luftwaffe "

    Does anybody know anything about this "branch"? Civilians assisting Luftwaffe?
    Recruiting posters indicate even half day and hourly service positions are available...

    I know Luftschutz helped civilians during air raids...
    but are these like "ushers" in LW service perhaps assisting in evacuations, supporting orderly movement
    to shelters during air raids? (photo source credit as tagged!)
