a part of i suposed a german plane

hello, i would like to present a big part of "i supposed" a german plane. it was find on the beach in normandie after the battle. it was used after the war to put some flowers.
I have no idea about this part of plane, there is some information with letters and a date 41 with a serial number.

i agree..but the connetions dont look like the spinnerconnetions i have seen.. but i am not sure as it was so many..and the lack of aircraft partnumber also makes me wonder if this could be from a paravane or something
could you make out the whole serial number..that would be a great help to identify it as there are some numbers there..

the droptanks are welded into one solid tank..the nose cant be removed..and by looking at the pictures there is a hole ( maybe for a screw ) and also something that appears to be attachments.. and also to "clean" cut so i would suggest a spinner or somethung ( when looking at my paravane pics i also see that those are welded into one solid tank

I dunno either, It looks like there are 4 "screw holes" for attachment to a prop, but they don't look uniform...is it maybe because of the damage? It just makes me wonder, because those tabs are not enough to hold a spinner on at high RPM, although I can see what Looks Like Button- head rivets at the base of the "spinner" Although that seems weird because most modern attachment points at the bottoms are non permanent screws and such

It's also curious that it's double walled- or appears to be since designers would shy away from that due to weight

Hi, the part shown is the end of a German parachute mine type C, I have one in my collection, (which also had been used for plants in a garden), rescued no doubt by someone here in the UK as a souvenir from the bombing of the UK.

This part housed the parachute, and as the mine left the aircraft, it came away from the mine and released the parachute.

sorry to necro this thread, But after looking at a compressor fan cover for a jet engine...it looks very similar
