    Generalluftzeugmeisterei tunic and coat

Can someone help with information on these two garments please. The jacket is a re-tailored pre-war mod 34 Norwegian jacket, the coat I dont know what originates from ,but I think its not Germany. These two comes from Horten in Norway, it was an airplane factory there before and under WWII. I have tried to search for info on GL but did not find much. Are these scarce?

Here are the back of the metal eagle, its seems like the 3 prongs goes trough a round metal disk on the back, which again are protected by a patch of black cloth.

Always nice to see one of these eagles where it belongs--on a tunic, and not a visor....

It sure would be nice if we knew more about these insignias. In period photos, it looks as though even the personnel involved were confused how (and where) to wear them. Sometimes you see a "G" on one collar and an "L" on the other, sometimes you see "GL" on each collar (both as shown here). Other times you see a "G" on one shoulder board and an "L" on the opposite board. Sometimes the eagle is worn above the right breast pocket and sometimes directly on lower portion of the left breast pocket (like an award badge). To date, we have not seen a photographic image of how "officer grade" personnel (assuming there were some) wore the insignia, so it might be premature to rule out absolutely any use on a visor cap because we can't be sure yet. Some of the eagle badges have thin pins (as would be seen on typical cap insignia) and sometimes they have wider pins. Can you tell if this one has the wider pins?(Based on the "wear" to the covering cloth, it look like it might have them).

In any case, these uniforms would be considered scarce in complete form. Since many seem to be of foreign design, it would seem likely that most were stripped or discarded after the war. But since they are "quasi-civilian", I'm not sure how interesting they would be to "pure" military collectors or what value would be assigned to them.

I have always wanted one of those GL tunics. Those are awesome! I did not know that there was a yellow branch... I only saw the red in the references.

Thank for the information so far Gentlemen, excellent! Here are some photos that I found on the webb, it sure is a lot of different variants:-) Maybye difficult to answer but what would be a reasonable selling price for the coat and the tunic? On the first photo it look like the 2 men to the left are wearing tunics that are re-tailored coats like the one I show (look at the collar, cuffs and pockets).

I would really appreciate if someone could give me a hint on the selling value on these 2 garments.
