A nice piece of history, came guaranteed and was removed from a downed ME109 in the closing period of WW2 in Belgium by a farmer ........... that's the story, any experts out there please take a look, I'm interested to hear from you.

PS: Realise the damned reflective class aint helping none!!!

It could well be. If you can get the mesures perhaps you might compare to those other. I dealed with a Me 109 sometime ago but it was Legion Kondor, so had no Swastika

I like it, looks just like several I have. In fact, if you sell it, let me know.

What I see is that the one in question has a seam with quite some rivets, while the ones I showed have only a few screws there ..

"Deliveries of the Bf 109F-1, still powered by the DB 601N due to delays in the 601E, began in November 1940. Shortly the Luftwaffe test units reported losses, following violent vibrations and loss of control. The removal of the tail bracing struts had caused the problem, remedied by fitting reinforcing plates in the tail plane. The Bf 109F-2, introduced in February 1941 "

I WONDER if possibly this swastika tail MIGHT be from the variant mentioned here and explain the extra line of rivets... Billbert

Could be wrong, but I think the same rivets are on the examples posted above - they are just not visible in the pics posted above.
