    Luft Tunic

I have the opportunity to pick this tunic up. I am mainly a helmet/dagger guy but I'll buy just about anything that's original. My knowledge on these is limited.

Is this a good piece? I have some concerns.

    Thanks in advance!

    Matt

That was kinda my concern... the shoddyness of the piping and collar tab placement...

Do the pieces look original Third Reich tho? Or is the tunic east German? I think I can get a pretty good deal on it.. so even if the pieces are real I still might go for it.

Difficult to say, the flash kinda washed out a lot of the detail. Unless you're getting this for real cheap- like fifty bucks- I wouldn't spend a dime. To be honest, I wouldn't buy it even for fifty bucks based on these pics. Too iffy.

I have seen originally applied piping pulling back at the corners due to tension before. Wouldn't rule that out immediately. Though the whole tunic still looks off.

Looks like an early Bundesluftwaffe tunic.

Note the 'scalloped' pocket flaps and what appear to be discolouration above each of the 'French cuffs'. Also the location (and number) of the removed labels.

It's a Bundy tunic - save your money.
