Did aircrews use this lifevest? looks like those used by Kriegmarine or a 'liberated' allied Mae West?

Yep! USAAF B4 life vest, often wore by the lw crewman as the USAAF A2 and B3 jacket... The counetrpart do the same, it is not impossible see british guy during the Battle of Britain with german mae west...
