Recon Goggles

Hi guys - I'm looking for some help with the following set of goggles. They belonged to a member of Aufklärungsgruppe 122 and he served during the early years of the war. The lenses appear to be clear glass and the mesh looking material is actually a hard screen. I'm a paper collector and know NOTHING about Luftwaffe equipment. Can anyone help me out with this? I'm also curious as to their approximate value.

Brian, I would guess these are civilian goggles that were worn wartime by your guy. Very common occurrence. As to value, maybe a hunnerd bucks?
