    Seat from German airplane?

    Hi Guys
I really need your help, I have the opportunity to get this seat, but I honestly donĀ“t know what it is and from what airplane it should have been in, if from a plane?

I hope you can help me out.

    All the best
    Lars

WaA stamps are for weapons, as far as I know. Don't like the plate with the stamp.

But the seat looks promising. Is the colour well represented in the pics? Then I would estimate that the seat came from an American or British plane.

Will hand over the question to an expert for cockpits here in Germany.

I agree, the paint looks like allied colors for aircraft interiors, not RLM 02

Lassi, may I use the pics for another forum? The German aircraft expert isn't registered here and can't see the photos.

                    Hi
Yes off course, and thank you for trying to help me out.
                    Cheers

                      Thanks.

I posted the pics and the question here:

Let's wait what Erny (Akkubach) has to say.

He collects airplane parts and has a near complete Bf 109 cockpit as far as I know.

And he lives not far from the Danish border ... as I do ...

It doesn't look WW2 German. Maybe US or British.

Erny also thinks that this seat is not German.

He even has doubts that it is an aircraft seat. Could be from a light Flak mount, he said.

I stay with my opinion: American or British aircraft seat. But I have no clue from which type.

For what its worth, here is a plate taken from a French car used by the German army in Russia. I saw this thing being taken off the ruined car myself. As can be seen, there is a Wa.A. stamp!
This is one of my favorit items...

                              Thanks for showing, Jean-Loup.

Just looked a bit around: The WaA ("Waffenamt-Abnahme" - Weapons department acceptance) stamp was also used on car and motorcycle parts as well as on other equipment. Perhaps the use of such stamps deserves some more attention from my side.

                              Something learned.
