luft flight clothing battle of britain

    hi all,

I´m novice on luft stuff and i would like to know if there is a concrete clothing for fighter pilots of the battle of britain, i.e. electrically heated boots? normal boots?
type of flight helmet..... what kind of tunic? etc

    strange question? sorry.

if you can post a manequin or something like that would be great!!

    thanks!

Hmmm... There was lots of variation, but that early many flew in their service blouses or with a shirt and leather jacket. Many still wore breeches and the high boots (fighter pilots anyway). The LKpN101 helmet was popular, and a 10-69 oxygen mask with N&G goggles would be typical. The full back inflatable life vest was also in service as was the full back kapok vest. Bomber crews were a bit different, though.....
