                  Could he maybe be a mechanic from that gang who test flow German airplanes under and after the war at Farnborough?

                  They have some special insigna and some German equipment

                      There is a book by Captain Eric Brown there he write about how it was to fly German airplans compare to the allies

                              They did indeed! Not only IMO is the cap British but the man in question (top photo) would appear to have a typical British mustache as well!!
