        Hi there,

Stranger things have happened, but I would be astounded if that were possible. My guess is, no way to tell at all.

Andy - that's a beauty. I recall when those recent, modern versions were being built. Considered getting one but never did. But it's nice to wear instead of an original!

Thanks for the help on the watch, i wonder who owned it during the war?
Are original bands on the market?

                      Hiya,
Very nice watch, the only way to trace the former owner would be to find his soldbuch and hope that the details are logged in it. Date of issue and serial number, pretty rare to find these chronos complete with a flieger soldbuch.
If you ever want to part with it please drop me a line.
                      Cheers.

Why not contact Hanhart in Germany. Perhaps they can tell you something about the watch. I'm sure they could at least tell you when it was made. As to who owned it, my understanding is that Hanharts were private purchase and not issue. But who knows, it's worth a try!

Awesome watch! Please post if you find out anything.

Hanhart chronos were issued to flight crew, ground crew, some artilary crew, and Kriegsmarine (they had there own special editions). You sometimes see the soldbuch with the watch serial number entered when issued. Here are some with original straps (the centre one is a Tutima).
