    Lw signal officer tunic

    Hi guys
I think it is my first post here ever but wanted to share with you my new salty officer signal tunic

Has a lot of period repair and is a very worn piece but for some reason I like it that way.

The cap were there to but unfortunately it was sold before I got to the uniform

It has a name tag to but the name has disappeared as a result of heavy use.

    All the best
    Lars

          Hi,

As a tab collector what I find really neat about this is the way his tabs were altered from Oberleutnant to Hauptmann. Note the addition of the gull above the other 2 gulls which were the one originally embroiderde to the to the tab.

                  The tabs are wonderful!

The eagle is original, but looks like it has been re-positioned above where it used to be. Also interesting that the French cuffs are gone and the EKII ribbon is stitched in as part of the construction of the tunic, which is certainly different.

Perhaps a well-worn and wartime-repaired tunic which had the eagle removed postwar and then re-attached? Anyway, nice to see something which hasn't been converted to a Flight tunic. Don't think the dress aigulette is correct for a tunic in this condition.

One could imagine that this is a request from the officer who ordered this tunic, to provide the ribbon from being torn away.
Any chance to see the interior ?

I remember it now, it was for sale on WAF few weeks ago.

Officer visors and tunics are generally equally priced. Here is a salty one :
