I thought that I would bring this collection to the Forums attention. It is an interesting look.

I know the Fallschirmjaeger people have said there are many fakes in this collection but what do you think of the flight stuff? Any nuggets in there?

The channel trousers are unusual in that they have a button fly closure rather than a zip, never seen that before...

Hello all. The fur lined flight pants look good all around. I dont believe that type have been faked. The windbreaker also at this time looks good, more pics would be helpful. Its faded creme colored label and inner map pocket material looks proper. The breast eagle is an origional eagle and one would have to look inside the jacket for its inner application. Ive seen breast eagles applied with straight stitching on the heavier leather jackets. The pants are more of a mystery. Of my 6 sets of pants and many others shown on the internet all have a front zipper and the suspenders are attached on the back to buttons on the waist, not on tongues. There is no inner belt present. The rest looks typical. A variant set of pants? Best, Bill Bourque

It seems the Winter pants also have tongues ..

Yes, the waist band is missing or maybe pulled back inside ?
One buckle, different size, replaced ?

I once inspected a pair of German made flight pants (mint) with rabbit fur inside, they were very late and I noticed they had glass buttons all over, no snaps, no fly zipper..
Can't remember if they had tongues ..
