Army NCO Tress on LW Fliegerbluse?

I saw a Fliegerbluse with Army-style diamond Tress on the collar. Did a little forum research and found this thread:

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...e+tress&page=3

One photo off the thread is shown below. There is another photo in the above thread that shows a dark green wool backing on the boards. I've seen LW Tress on Heer and Waffen SS boards, but diamond Tress on LW boards?

Is this common, or a complete "no way" for most collectors?

I don't think I would call it common, but I have seen it before on some very nice tunics. Depending on the individual piece, it would not bother me.

I agree, it is not a red flag according to most collectors. I think that some period photographs exist to prove it.

So long as the tress matches from tunic to boards I'm happy.

Not common at all. I have seen Heer tress on Luft shoulder boards before, but not yet on a Fliegerbluse.

I would really look very closely at the tress application on a matched set like that.

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.
