    Help with Generals sidecap

Hi Guys. What do you think about this cap, is it a good or no good.
I hope the pictures are good enough for you to judge.
Inside the cap (picture 2) is a swastika from a Calsberg draft beer tap it is just put there to open the cap.
    Regards
    Stengaard

              Stengaard,

This cap is unlike any General's cap I have handled, which have all been standard officer caps with of course General insignia. The piping is unconvincing as is the lining and sweatband. Only my opinion of course but I would not consider it original, just a nice filler piece.

IMO I suppose there is a possibility of foreign manufacture..(holland france belguim italy) and the full sweatband says tailored of post war GDR DDR luft.. Billbert

I just dont believe its a out and out fake...

I wondered if it was a post war cap, as Bilbert suggested, because I have an officers example which looks very similar, IMO, in particular the bullion braid and its attachment.

The general's eagle doesn't has my vote, threads dividing the feathers very sloppy, arm swas bent, I think artificial blackening of the gold ..
The braiding hasn't my vote either..
