I finally put a couple Luftwaffe mannequins together...

Well after about a year of gathering together the necessary items, I have finally been able to put together a couple of Luftwaffe impressions.

I'd also like to thank Jos', Steve (Ramjet), Gene, Frank Savage, Billbert, John Hodgin and a few others for your assistance with information and opinions on items I've posted while working on these.

Please let me know what you think. I've also just posted pictures of a good portion of my collection on the Collections & Display thread in the Community forum.

Nice LW display, how did you get the stands to work with the mannequins?

Thanks for the positive comments guys.

Wijtman01 - yes the 3/4 mannequin is the tunic of NJ Ace Friedrich-Karl "Nassen" Müller

Paul - Regarding the stands, the bomber crew mannequin is plastic, not fiberglass, so it is lighter. He leans back on his own so I use the wall and also placed the stand support outside the boot to prop him up (see below).

For the pilot in white (and several other mannequins like my DAK one shown below) I modified the stands with sections of square metal tubing.

The tubing fits over the original base support bracket and is slipped under the belt of the mannequin. On some I will drill a hole in the top of the tubing and thread wire through and around the waist of the mannequin.
