Only by chance. There were 75 pilots alone with 100+ Eastern Front victories, and this Bf 109 tail shows "only" 63 (not 53) kills. It appears that the picture was made in winter as a white camo is oversprayed (see the different background of the swastika and the kill markings). But without seeing more of the aircraft, I can't even tell in which winter the pic was made - what would have been of some help to compare with the victory time tables to find out the pilot.

There is some yellow in the swastika...

only the JG54 used to have marking painted on yellow
like below


so according to this it could be a JG54 pilot during Winter 1941 or 42 (after they had the FW)
The pilot (if he is the pilot) is a unteroffizier according to the collar rank but it's a very low rank for a guy who shoot down 63 planes...

I don't think the guy pointing to the kills is the pilot. I would have thought at least he would be wearing flight boots.

and if he isn't the pilot, why do he point the kill markings with his finger, sounds weird
