    And another eagle question ...

Found this cap eagle recently, like it, but I want a more competent opinion. I read anywhere in this forum years ago that the curved tail end is no good sign. Can't remember if this only is valid for breast eagles or for cap eagles also and can't find the respective posts either, so I have to ask. At least I found pics of caps with such eagles which the experts declared genuine ...

    Opinions very welcome.

Looks like a good bird to me.

Sometimes this can be accurate, but in general, this is not the way to judge the authenticity of Luftwaffe eagles.

      Thanks, John!

I really can't remember in which connection the statement was posted, but it was firmly in my head and hampered my judgement.

        You are welcome.

As another example of a good one with a curved tail, take a look at the tail of the eagle on this superb HG sidecap.

Yours is a good eagle. I have not heard the rumour about curving tails however I have noted that some repro/fake eagles attempt the curve and just end up with an odd feather in a straight line.

@ John: Thanks, that was one of the cap eagles I looked at before.

@ David: That could be the case I remember so darkly ...
