      Hi there!

      Looks good, but I would see better pics of the tabs and piping to talking about.
      I didn't like so much the piping, proper of the pre/aerly war production, on a mid/late war jacket. But could be a customized feature...
      The jacket itself and the tabs looks good, anyway... There's still the doubt about when they was applicated on.

        I do not think that the piping is original to the tunic either. Collar piping was ordered removed from the uniforms in 1940(or 1942... I am deployed and without my books). The tunic looks like it was made much later than that. But who knows, the veteran could have added it himself to make himself look like an older veteran. Who is to say, either way. I would love to see more photos of the tunic as well, especially the LBA stamp.

          I agree, there is a regualations inconsistency in the above example with respect to the piping in its present appearance.

            Sure! I agree.
            The tunic was made for sure when the use of the collar piping was leave... the lining it is not that of the early productions...
            More likely, as PaulR stated, was add by the soldier for his own preference...
