Luftwaffe Oblt shoulderboard cypher ID

Here are three Luftwaffe officers chilling outside their stabszelt on some French beach after the campaign of 1940. Three names are scrawled on the back of the photo, "Lt K...old, Major Jürgens, Oblt Forneberg". I'm trying to find out which unit the belong to, and the Oberleutnant has some sort of cypher on his shoulderboard. I guess it might denote his unit. Can anyone help me?
