Luftwaffe leather flying jacket for discusion

i have seen this tunic at Weitze´s website and wondering about possibilities... it has been sold yet, but i think that we sould drop a few lines about this item

Jack, because these were used and very fashionable, during this period, by car drivers, motorcyclists etc, it is easy to badge them up as luftwaffe flight jackets. To establish whether they are authentic flight jackets, you have to look at wear and scuff patterns on the jacket in question, eg wear marks, by safety harness on shoulder boards and eagle. Wear marks by the parachute on the back, wear on the elbows etc. Jacques

Knowing Helmut, it could be that he get the jacket directly from a vet's estate and it is okay ...


... but just from looking at it, I would not be in hot pursuit after it.
