Thats a great photo. Looks like he have wrapt some cheepskin around his legs.

I have seen a couple of cut down jackets from the winter suit, but never pants.

    Regards

1- Probably just a cover to protect his head from the sun
2- Sheepskin covers so his flare bandoleer (and any other equipment) doesn't rub too hard into his shins

          Nice picture ..

I think he's using the cover for protection against cold, looks he's wearing it over a Netzkopf haube .., he also has a pair of Winter type gloves and I think the sheep skin was also used against cold knees/feet, think I've seen some other pics where a pilot is wearing sheep skin like this.

I would like to say the same thing...

But, could be the lower part of a 'bulgarian' suit, cutted and customized?

              Cheers!

It's a Bulgarian pair of trousers IMO, not a cut flight suit or something.
Have seen them several times in pics and 2 times for sale.

                Jos.

                  Hi Jos!
You're talking about a two piece bulgarian suit? I don't know about its existence... So exist also a bulgarian jacket, isn't it?
Have you a pic to show it?

                  Take care!
