Altered Luft M44 Tunic? Thoughts??

    Altered Luft M44 Tunic? Thoughts??

    I currently have this tunic for an inspection period and to get other opinions other than my own. This is a new one for me and would like your inputs. As you can see it's an altered Luft blouse into an M44 style tunic with the majority of the original liner removed. The sleeves are different on each side as you can see by the pics. Eagle and tabs look original to the piece. Wear seems consistant even on the altered parts. Thanks for your help in advance, Alex

                    I'm not sure how you would ever be able to prove for sure when the alteration was done, but if you are comfortable, in hand, with the wear, and the originality of the insignia to the piece, then go for it. From the photos, it looks fine to me.

                      Alex, I think it is an era modification. The fact that the insignia appears to be original to the uniform is a big plus. If it were stripped then all bets would be off, as it was common to modify tunics for wear in the early post war era.
