Hi Folks,

I have this currently on hold and would like some expert opinions. I haven't owned this model of bluse before and this would only be my 6th tunic total.

The eagle is obviously reapplied at some point and I'm wondering about the collar tabs. Any other insights/observations or opinions are much appreciated.

Flieger Bluse

In my opinion all the insignia has been replaced. The tabs, eagle, and tress. The tunic is a good solid LBA 42 issue, but to say it started it's life as a flight tunic, is in question. I see traces of red thread, which could mean a flak tunic and traces of old bobbin thread from replaced tress. The eagle is pretty straight forward. The boards are nice, but there is loose thread were the board loops have been repaired or replaced. The medal loop looks to flimsy. The basic tunic is nice and original, as for rank, that's my opinion. Thanks, Dave.

Hi Dave, thanks for weighing in. Yes I saw the red thread as well and thought converted Flak or even SIGNALS!

And the tab application looks a little sloppy too.

If any body can throw out a value for a potentially 'restored' FB that would help too.

Hi there!

I agree with STUG III... The tunic itself is a good mid/late war fliegerblouse, with a nice satin lining, correct in all its parts. All the isigna are IMHO reapplicated. I didn't like the way the boards are sewn and even the tress seems to me quite hesitate, expecialy on the corner of the collar. The boards looks nice, but are slips-on and isn't important if the own to th blouse or not..
