                  Yes, those are bullet holes.

The aircraft, a Ju88A-1, no. 274, was shot down and made a forced landing on 9 September 1940. The crew were taken prisoner.

I had my eye on that but the shipping would have been too much.

Congrats on a fantastic piece of aviation history.

i hate to dissapoint you but the one with the spiral on is NOT a Ju 88 A1. the lower one os a Ju 88 A4 but yours is a Fw 190.. as i have worked with restoration of german aircrafts for over 10 years ( including Fw 190 A3 and Ju 88 A1/A5 and also lots on a A4 in Belgium )
the A1 spinner is conical all the way down
but then again..a Fw 190 spinner is something more desirable than a Ju 88..hehe

i dont know how to upload pics from my computer here or i would post a picture of the A1 spinner..i only get this URL msg eveytime i try

scroll down to the bottom of this page and you will see your spinner.. Fw 190..i know one when i see one

                          best regards

this is how a Ju 88 A1 spinner looks ( from my website since i only can download pics from the web.. ?? )

here is my website regarding the restoration of the Ju 88 A1..and as you see the spinner does not even come close to yours.. its shorter and conical all the way..and you have a typical fighter spinner ( 100% Fw 190 ) and also the white paint gives it.. that was typical fighters and not bombers

                            http://www.ju88.net/

                            best regards
                            Guttorm Fjeldstad

pssince i am new ( i guess that is why ) i cant post attachments.. so better pics will come and for the moment i will have to stick to already posted pics on my website..
