Hello Gents,

Need help with A.) Identifying this piece of insignia, and B.) is it period, or postwar??

I don't like the base material, and am not crazy about the way the edges of the base material are cut, if that makes sense; too clean cut; too razor sharp. Any opinions on originality?

What does this insignia represent?
