They are real but they are post war tabs.

Really nice officer tabs too. I saw a set in red and another in white. I did not think that that the Bundesluftwaffe used the waffenfarbe system. Does anyone know anything about this?

Yes.

These are the hand-embroidered tabs for privately purchased officer and NCO tunics. Still currently in use.

There is no colour system like in WWII in today's Luftwaffe. Every member wears the yellow Waffenfarbe. Exception: Officers with successful training for general staff duties which wear Heer-like tabs in dark violet-red (without the wing) and shoulderboard lining in the same colour as long as they are in staff duties. When they take over a troop command, they change to the standard yellow tabs and boards. It's a little bit complicated, but this is only a small circle of officers.

So again: Generally all personnel of today's Luftwaffe wear the shown tabs in yellow, only in different manufacturing quality.
