    did you ever see this modification on a luft tropical tunic before???

        No, but my luft trop tunic has been modified and various photos exist showing modified luft trop tunics, so in principle, its not a problem, IMO.

              As this appears to be the same tunic we are discussing on another thread; it is not a Luftwaffe tunic. Can we see the whole thing and the markings please?

                willi you are right, it is the same tunic....i will take some more pics next week after pulling off the stuff and the tunic from the mannequin...

                            Correct such buttoned strap supports are indeed seen on Italian windbreaker jackets, so could be an italian influence, but this feature is also found on Finnish summer tunics
                            (and Japanese unforms in the Pacific..the later being an unlikely source for inspiration to do this)
