    Question about LKp S 101

    Hello,
    When was the LKp S 101 flight helmet introduced exactly?
    Did the Luftwaffe use this type in May 1940 (attack on the Nederlands) ?

    Not for May 1940, i think they appeared in early 1941.

      die s 101 wurde meiner meinung nach im laufe des jahres 1938 eingeführt. es gibt viele bilder aus der vorkriegszeit wo s 101 getragen wurde. ich hatte mal eine die war 1939 gestempelt.

          Hello,

          Sorry for the mistake.
          I was thinking Lkpn 101 and not S

          The S type appeared in 1938. So, it's possible to see it in 1940 but we often encounter Lkps 100 at that period.

              I want to make a early Luftwaffe display and a LKp S 100 is quite rare.
              I have only seen one to buy yet.

                Good evening Lukas,

                Here is picture from Adolf Galland in 1940 but it's after August 1940 as he was commander.

                Obstlt Adolf Galland, 22 August 1940 – 5 December 1941

                It could be a Lkps 101 but i'm not sure.

                Is somebody could a find May 1940 picture using this type of flying helmet ?
