    My Luftwaffe Tropical Tunic

I was looking at this one tonight and wanted to see what you guys think about a couple of things. I noticed in certain lighting there is a fading to the sleeves that the torso area seems to have avoided. The sleeves seem original to the tunic, just wondering if this could've been caused by wearing some sort of flight equipment?

Also, I posted the eagle I bought on the forum a couple of weeks ago and it isn't getting rave reviews, it does have the threads on the wings and the detail looks just like the good ones I've seen on the forum so I'm confused as to what makes it bad..any pointers I'm all ears.

The thread I bought off militaria 321 as tropical thread, once I got it though I'm assuming it's not tropical. Political? Would I use white to sew the eagle back?

Need a denazified pilots badge (because I need a good pilot badge but cheaper).

      Hi,
Can you post some detail shots, the usual ones, the back of the collar, the buttons, the wrist adjuster buttons, the hook & eye & the inside of the tunic, any makers stamps, owners tags, details of the medal attachment loops, etc...?
I like what I see of the tunic so far and I have no problem with the different color sleeves. I don't like the eagle, the details are poor and the backing fabric looks a bit too chunky, IMO.

Wouldn't an aluminum eagle be appropriate for this tunic?

            No,

It's not a summer tunic but a tropical one.

              so The eagle is out.

Thanks guys, the eagle is trash. Is the thread junk too? Are the sleeves a problem? Thanks much. P

Yes, eagle is bad.., thread looks ok , color might be a bit too fresh for this tunic..

The option to use a aluminum Summer eagle isn't too bad, many officers had one of these on their tropical tunic.
Think they'll be more easy to find than a good tunic eagle and only 2 loops will do the trick.

                Jos.

The sleeves appear to be made from a slightly different color of fabric. I too would like to see some interior views of the tunic, to include the markings. I have already commented on the eagle.....

                    Hallo!

I agree about the eagle! Crap for sure!

I would like to see the interior and its marking too... Is possible?

                    Thanks!
