    luftwaffe jacket

I would like to hear your opinion about this jacket. I think the jacket itself with his eagle and rankinsignia are good. But I have my doubts about the cufftitles. I know the pictures are bad! The cufftitles are not sewn nicely.
    Thank you!

i personaly think that this was a perfectly fine lw jacket, but someone had to rank her up a bit, added loops, and cufftitles

    but thats my opinion

I would agree ; all these cufftitles and other things are simply too much, but the tunic itself should be original.

The silver cord is not removed, I believe because it is an early model is has no silver cord. The eagle is also an early private made.

I think i know the answer to this question before i ask but here goes... did they continue to make airforce jackets in this style postwar? I have a very similar one (minus the eagle) that i have always thought is post war

I would say the eagle looks like some fakes IMHO

Are you talking about the first or the second jacket?

The second jacket, I believe that the shoulder boards and collar tabs were post war additions. I have my suspicions that the tabs may even be reproductions.

The silver cord was always present on 1935-45 LW officer tunics.

Is the first jacket from Janssen militaria?

It is I see now, didnt know. I saw it in duiven not long ago.

                          So to sketch the situation:

I bought the second jacket from a militaria dealer who said several times via email and person to person, that this jacket was ok. I thought it was ok, believed it is an early (1935) jacket and no cord.
Now, the jacket could be postwar with a fake eagle and fake collar tabs.
I would like to hear more opinions before I go back to the dealer.
                          Many thanks!

2nd jacket; the bottom slash pockets look early pre war to me or were they also re-instated post war?

i have to agree, eagle is bad or realy bad aplied, collars and tabs look like post war sewn on, and the silver cord was removed
