    Luftwaffe clock?

Can anyone out there help? I've just been offered what I'm told is a 'Luftwaffe' clock. The name on it is Junghans who were the clock makers for the Luftwaffe. Someone also said that it is actually out of a Messerschmitt !! Can this be possible?
Any ideas please. Also, what should I pay for it - roughly!
    Thanks,
    Terry.

Hi,That is a nice clock in very nice condition,I have 3 in my collection. These were used in all types of aircraft and were not specific to any one type, people advertise these as being from fighters to get higher prices.I have seen these sell for $150.00 to $550.00,check on ebay completed auctions for current selling prices.Jay Parisi

            Hi Jay,
Thanks for the info about the clock. I couldn't make up my mind quickly enough because I didn't know what was a fair price and someone else bought it. I do know they paid ₤100.00 for it ($150.00 exactly at todays rates). Sounds like they probably got a pretty good deal, maybe I should have been a little less hesitant! Anyway, all history now!!
Thanks again, info much appreciated I'll know what to do in the future.
            Best wishes,
            Terry

That's correct! the same old story... where all the luftwaffe garnment belonged to flyiers and paras, and the Kriegsmarine one to the submariner...
Anyway a very nice 'borduhr'. It in working conditions?

                  Cheers!

                    Hi Andy,
Thanks for the photos. I can now see the two clocks are very similar. Unfortunately it's all history now.
                    Yes it was working perfectly!
I couldn't make up my mind quickly enough and it's now sold. As I said he later sold it for ₤100.00 ($150) so I suppose it was quite a good deal for the buyer?
I'll know better next time!! :0)
                    All the best,
                    Terry.
