very rare and nice love the black on blue
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

        A beauty!
But I think I'm right in saying the black patches can also be RLM.
I have a white tunic with the black.

Have seen one for sale 2 years ago, even with pioneer-markings. So at least one is out there.

            Hi Wessel

Beautiful summer tunic. Are the boards for an administrator? Does your tunic have cyphers on the shoulder boards?. I saw that RLM also used black waffenfarbe.

            thanks

                        Hi,

Black was utilized by 4 different groups of the Luftwaffe. Pioneer (construction), RLM (early on), temporary camp guards (but these personnel would wear 1 black rank tab and the swastika tab) and for Luftwaffe personnel attached to the Luftschutz.

Both tunics shown are very nice examples of a rare waffenfarbe.

Juan...close up of the boards, which are slip-on style w/o cypher.

You may be interested in this tunic for sale on Manions

                            http://www.manions.com/bid/bid.aspx~...33364~pic~8400

I am always a bit suspicious of tunics without straight pockets but this one may be OK.
If it is genuine I hope the seller gets his money. I have been waiting a year for funds from Manions following the sale of 3 caps! BEWARE of them!!

I'm not a tunic expert but also not affraid to ask questions. The Manion tunic is very cool if original but I don't think I have ever seen shoulder boards with that crappy of an attaching job. I understand a lot of NCO tunics had hand applied goodies but is that one considered acceptable?

                                Hi

I am always concern about Der Speiss tunics. When was the tress added? The shoulder boards also cencerns me. It may be real, but not for me

                                thanks
