In my opinion, they existed. I sold an officer's M43 last year in feldgrau. I still have the enlisted feldgrau overseas cap.

this means 2 buttoms on the cap-front; luftwaffe grey color; no visor!!!!!

Believe me, these are super-rare birdies ! ! ! !

Since I lost some more hair, became grey at some point, I fear nothing has changed on behalf of the subject..

I 've been chasing one of those for decades (litteraly!), never encountered one in period photo's , nor in real life...

I'm a believer, though ....Hope one will stand up to enlighten our hunger...
