The tunic is named, and researched to a former member of the Legion Condor.
I'd love to see a scan of that photo Scott. I have a flight blouse that look exactly like the one you describe, and while I'm sure it's not the one pictured, I'd be very interested to see a similar one in a period photo. They are not often found.

Sounds like a lovley tunic. One thing that puzzels me is the ticket thing. A lot of vet bring back tunics got some kind of a ticket stored in them. Why is that? Is it a way for dealers to make the item come alive and lure byers into beleving it´s a vet bring back or did soldiers in the third reich often store used tickets in their uniforms?

Oki, I did not mean Jesper. I menat dealers/sellers in regular . A lot of vet bring backs got some kind of tickets stored in them and I find that strange. It might also be a perfect understandable reson for it as well but I think it is important to discuss it

Every year when it get's cold enough for me to dig out my winter coat, I'll find various receits and tickets from last winter in the pockets. If you don't empty your pockets very often, stuff like that will accumulate. I think it's quite natural to find these things in old clothing. I've even found ladies underwear on one occasion. In a luft tunic that is...not in my winter coat.

Very nice to have a name and a picture with the visor .. !

As for the tickets etc, yes, found tickets, coins etc in pockets, one flight blouse even had a production line ticket in the pocket which shows the autographs of the people who worked on the jacket, most of these jackets where not made by only one person ..

                  Tickets

Nice caps, especially because of the name and picture.

I agree about the tickets, especially if the soldier had more than one tunic. A lot of the tunics in our collections were the extra ones that survived because they were hanging in a closet, so tickets left in the pockets would be even more common.

Always nice to see a Leparo visor. They were prolific makers of EM/NCO Luft visors. I have seen many but not one Officers grade so far. Another TR manufacturing mystery.

I've also owned a few visors with theatre tickets inside. Must have been quite the fashion and the thing to do to impress the ladies!

Those are all good arguments and I agree with you. Thanks for sharing your experiences. But I still think that one should be careful of what could be added to make an item come to life and become more historical

That is odd. I´ve seen a couple of visors as well with theatre tickets inside. Why would anyone store tickets in the cap and not in the tunic?
