    LW Jacket Estand

    Hello,

    i will buy this jacket. Please give me some opinions if all is ok. I only ask because now i see the pockets......?http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=376781

    The tunic itself looks nice but IMO the insignias and awards are not all period applied, it would be too great...

    What is the problem with the pockets ? I see nothing wrong...

      Because the pockets are waved, and at my last lw tunic some collectors here told me that waved pockets are BW tunics :-) Sorry i think i miss understand it....

        Good tunic and nothing wrong with the pockets, insignia in my opinion could be original applied but I can not say by pictures posted.

          The TR Luftwaffe tunics featured the two types, there is absolutely no problem with that. But when you look at pictures, the BW tunics have only the scalloped flaps. That's it

            I agree! The 'bat wings' flap pocket have not to bother you... You can easily seeing those type in some early WWII pics, wear also by ace Helmut Wick...

              As stated, batwings are not uncommon in tailored uniforms.

                    Hey Chris,

                    I had other concerns with the tunic you posted. I never would say that bat winged pocket flaps are an indicator of a repro tunic.

                    Some issues that I noticed were:

                    1. Reproduction collar tabs
                    2. Reproduction collar piping
                    3. Rough attachment of the shoulder boards
                    4. Post war tunic.

                      Insignia is machine sewn with cotton thread with construction very much like the well, maybe 50 LW uniforms I've owned. Absolutely no way to know if the ribbon bar and cord are wartime original to the uniform though both are wartime original pieces. I know my pics are not the greatest, working on that.
