I've the same quest but I'm a little bit late.
Not so easy to find a LW double barrel leuchtpistole except if you are ready to spent a lot of money (some sellers are asking for such crazy prices !!!).
It's the hard rule of the market.

Yes, the work number has the LN prefix.

L.N Flare Gun.

The number L.N indicates that the Flare gun was a part of the aircraft communication system.All radio,antenna,power supply,s equippment in German bombers have a L.N number.Many of the flare gun cartidges used i German bombers are L.N marked.The dobble barreled flare gun was the Radio operator,s responsibility and was developed for emegency use(Emergency communication).Some of the flare guns have a F.L number,i belive the two different prefix letters depends on a contract order from Luftwaffe.This flare gun was specially developed for Emergency use together with special L.N marked Erkendungssignalpatronen (ESN x ) in most multiple engined German Aircrafts .
