The author of the book Luftwaffe vs RAF (MICK J PRODGER) never write : there are flight boots with white plastic zip RIRI, why?

"the single zip fasteners are made from black plastic" Page 150

That is a mistake from MICK J PRODGER, I have seen more Flight-boots with white zippers.
Like these, nothing wrong with those boots. The zippers are original
