This photograph shows Luftwaffe quartermasters issuing tropical uniform items. It appears that the tunic is lacking an eagle. I have seen a number of LW tropical tunics which appear to have never had an eagle applied, something I don't recall ever seeing on Heer tropical tunics. The LW tropical shirts in the photo don't seem to have eagles either, maybe this is an "early" phenomenon.

Often seen on LW tropical uniform pics ! you are correct , never observed on Heer or KM tropical uniforms ?.

Yes, quite many had tunics without eagles, sometimes Fliegerbluses as well, maybe they were too much in a hurry to provide those troops at a certain point ?
Hence the use of their Summer eagle, as often seen ?
The regular cloth eagles were also worn on their tropical tunic..
Have seen Summer eagles on their Fliegerbluses as well ..
