      No, not correct. It always has been said it to be Siemens Werke.

      I explained these letters in my book about wall signs, page 365 where a sign is included
      with the exact name: Südostdeutscher Wachdienst.
      This was a guarding company and earlier known as Österreichischer Wachdienst.
      They were located at Salzburg and started in 1906. The name was changed at the start
      of WWII.

          Hi Robb, according to Wilhelm it is from the start of WW2 to ? with the emblem representing - Südostdeutscher Wachdienst - Southeast German security service. I can not say if this company existed after the war.

              Thanks for the information Mr. Saris, the pins are missing on mine as well. I also seem to remember that the background paint to the SW is luminous.

                  it was occasionally used with a gorget and as such it was luminous. There is one shown in my gorget-book. It was in those days in the hands of Weitze.
